The coverage of acupuncture treatment varies with each insurance company and different groups involved. You can call your insurance company with the following questions, and our clinic may also help you verify your coverage:
- Does my insurance policy cover acupuncture care?
- Does my insurance company cover the acupuncture treatment for my specific condition? (Most health insurance has limited coverage of conditions.)
- Do I need a referral from a primary care doctor?
- What is my deductible and co-pay?
- Is there a dollar limit per year?
- Is there a limit to the number of visits per year?
Many policies will reimburse you directly for acupuncture care, or offer discount programs for acupuncture, that Lake Bluff Acupuncture can honor at the office.
Lake Bluff Acupuncture can create and submit claims electronically to your insurance company on your behalf. We can also provide superbills to you for submission to your insurance company or Health Savings Account for reimbursement.

Veteran’s benefits are accepted for care. If you have been authorized by your VA Physician, give us a call today to set up your initial exam and evaluation.
